The score/soundtrack to this movie is surprisingly all contemporary music… It sounds like some psychedelic, trippy-Disco-Studio 54 Music, like in the cocaine heyday. The music evokes the type of emotion that the main characters fail to utter throughout the film. A Real Hero does that the best and I believe that is the theme of the movie. It’s as if there is a monster hibernating inside of the Driver, making him incapable of expressing emotion. However Irene and her son show him that he is a real hero and real human being aside from his past and whatever darkness lurks inside of him.. .
